School Bus Operation is Stopped Temporarily Due to Flooding

105 of them are evacuated to TMII and 71 other buses are still in the bus pool

The School Transportation Management Unit (UPAS) had to stop the school bus operation temporarily.

Jakarta Transportation Agency's UPAS Head Ali Murtadho said, for mutual security, 176 school buses have been evacuated to a safer location to avoid flooding.

"105 of them are evacuated to TMII and 71 other buses are still in the bus pool," he expressed, on Tuesday (2/25).

Nevertheless, the civil servants and PJLPs under Jakarta Transportation Agency are seen as still working as usual.

"This anticipatory step has been made at 3.30 AM and its process is done at 4 AM," he told.

Aside that, all office assets were also secured on the second floor due to flooded office conditions up to 60 centimeters high, starting from computers, archives and office equipments.

While since 9.15 AM, the condition of Jalan Raya Pondok Gede, precisely in front of the bus pool's main gate is still flooded up to 1.5 meters high due to overflowing waters of Sunter River.
